Yes it is finally happening, I’m archiving all my old images onto my Photoshelter account. It’s quite an undertaking, something I have been putting off for some time but I want people to be able to browse thousands of ski images and search for things that might work for their editorial and commercial projects.
I’ll post occasional updates on here as I add specific photos from certain trips and projects and I’m starting off with a set of heliskiing photos from a trip to New Zealand. I’d actually forgotten all about this day until I started to dig in into my files but I was hired by North Face in NZ to document a days heliskiing with some of their athletes a few years ago. We flew out of Wanaka with Southern Lakes Heli. The avalanche danger was so high that day that at one point we actually triggered a slide by flying close to the snow! As a result we had to stick to really low angle slopes for our skiing and as the day went on the weather closed in as well. Being New Zealand though, everything looks incredible so we still got some nice shots done and it was a fun day now that I look back on it!
